And they’re back!
July 16th, 2008
Despite what must have been a rather epic journey, everyone arrived back home last night in great spirits. There were smiles and hugs all round.
There was even a welcoming committee.
Not quite sure what everyone else thought of the cheer that went up when they first appreared through the doors though.

I’m no good at this interweb, so I hope you can sort these out, John: not sure how to upload things.
A Commemorative Pome
So off we went, both nice and bright
To catch our early morning flight
We found some ways to pass the time
With Scabby Queen (it’s in this rhyme)
And then we got to Malawi
That’s all of us – you, them and me
We stopped off somewhere really nice -
You might just call it Paradise!
And what a welcome fine we got
The BAGSS girls gave it all they’ve got
With hugs and songs and everything
You really should have heard them sing!
And then some lessons we did get
Of fish and natural love, and yet
Except for Zoe and Miss E
We hadn’t got a clue, you see
But Mrs C knows how to shop!
She could do it till she drop! (sorry Kathleen)
Don’t let her see another chair
It really would not be that fair
A mamba and an earthquake – yes!
We had on Christie’s birthday – bless.
A visit to the orphans, too
That made some of us go “boo hoo”
I’ll never mention any gits
There ain’t a rhyme that really fits
And that’s about the end, you know:
I’m really glad we all did go!

MALAWIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM, ADAPTED
We had BAGSS of fun in Malawi
It was a land of peace;
Though there’s sun and heat throughout the day
At night you need a fleece
We met fabby people everywhere
Kind, great and really cool;
They were lovely all throughout the land
Not just within the school!

I aim to make the intertube,
an easy place that’s understood.
It must have worked, you’ve posted well!
It even rhymes, that’s really swell!
I could go on. I’d better not!
‘Cos what I’ll write is utter rot.
Not like the jewels you’ve posted here,
Your pome’s rhyme while mine don’t (but could, maybe).
