Hello Friends. It is gey braw to have an opportunity to communicate with you on this rerr website. It has been a long time since Lesley Easton(ama Kafupi) wrote on this site thon the FHS community sho,we have been assured that we will be given a new line as soon as possible. Our modem has since been sent to Lilongwe for reprograming. We hope that in a couple of days we will be able to communicate.

As some of you may know, Ada Nyasulu, the Depute Headteacher at BAGGS recently graduated from university. He was kind enough to send us his graduation pics.

Well done to Lynsey and the Orrs. I couldn’t be there, but I’ve heard loads of people saying how great you were!

This Friday Dave Fox is visiting the school to get some feedback. He’s the council person responsible for training us and and helping us organise the trip. He’s coming at 12.45 for a lunch and all Malawi pupils are most welcome. We’re also celebrating Mrs Conington and Miss Derrick being appointed to new responsibilities within the school and the fact that it’s Friday and a holiday weekend.

Hello FAB people

Sorry it’s been so long. I lost my password [but not my passport, Thomas] and then had to ask for new one etc etc

So, big well done to the first Malawi Roadshow team last week at St Andrews Church. I really enjoyed hearing your pieces and it made me feel I was back again. I get quite homesick!

The next Roadshow will be the Campbell Assembly with Lynsey and the Orrs. Should they have a chitenge on the head demo? Other assemblies follow, as you know, with Cameron next week.

Other dates: Monday 8 September Eastie Beastie’s parents’ church in Grangemouth; 15 September Ladies’ Circle in Park Hotel. Tuesday 14 October in Tillicoultry. This is during the October week…anyone available?

St Andrew’s West Church Presentation - Well done!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say thank you and well done to those of you who participated in the presentation at St Andrew’s West Church. Everyone said how much they enjoyed all the information and personal background you gave about our trip. The minister also phoned me tonight to say thanks again. I was very proud of you all!

Thanks also to those of you who sent materials to Mrs Easton which were included in the powerpoint. Special thanks to Eastie Beastie for organising all of the power point and to Mr Orr for helping to set up the projector.

I write now to thank you Mrs Dallas, Mrs Easton, Mr Innes and Mrs Connington for organising such an amazing, life changing trip.
The expedition really opened my eyes and I believe I have finally began to appreciate what I have: my loving family, my school, my friends, my Church, my God. My safety, my security, my health, my peace, my food, my clothing… and so the list continues.

I would really like to travel to Malawi again, especially: Bandawe.

I believe the trip has also made me less selfish. I have finally began to strive to help those who are in greater need than myself.

I now look forward to giving presentations and sharing the Malawians’ happiness with many and I cannot wait for some of our new friends to come to Scotland.
