Callendar Square
Raising awareness of the trip for the wider community in Falkirk.
Those going on the trip will be at Callendar Square shopping centre to tell people all about the trip, what they hope to achieve and to help raise the profile of the great work that is being done in Malawi by individuals, groups and charities from Scotland.
Ably supported by the samba band and choir, the event should be a great day.

Involving cakes, more cakes and probably even cakes as well (with coffee).
Those who are on study leave, but are helping out, should be in school for the start of period 2.

A very successful and fun evening was had in the, very nicely refurbished, halls of St Francis Xavier church. Around £270 was raised and brings the total fundraising amount to over £1000. you can view some photos from the evening in our gallery and check back soon for some excruciating video footage of the highlight of the night – chest waxing. I really don’t know what to say about it, but it still brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
Update – there’s a low quality video for viewing here.
Fundraising, The Editor | Comment (0)a little fundraising idea
My slightly elderly parents in New Carron need their grass cut once a week. If someone could do it for them, they would put a donation in to our travelling fund.
If you’d like the job, phone 636885 and say you’re going to Bandawe.

Malawi 2008, Mrs D | Comment (0)Fundraising at Comely Park Spring Fayre
Comely Park Primary School very kindly offered us some space at their annual Spring Fayre. We were able to promote the trip, raise awareness of what the purpose is and to fundraise.
We had loads of folk helping out with silent auctions, lucky dips, cakes and other treats and quizzes.
You can check out some photos of the event. Click the photo to see some more.

Well done to everyone who helped make it such a success and many, many thanks to all those who contributed.
